Independence from tyranny
On July 4, 1776 the founders of this great nation set in motion the series of events that would forever fundamentally change the world. The declaration of independence from the rule of King George III was seen by many as a fools journey. To stand united against the greatest nation and greatest army in the world was thought by many to be at a minimum insane and most likely suicidal. Regardless, men of character stood together and for the love of liberty, fought for the freedom we enjoy today. I fear that the integrity fought so boldly for 200+ years ago has been lost.
Today, the federal government is at least as tyrannical as England was during the American Revolution. Today, the federal government is actively suing one of it's own United States. Today, the rights of the criminal outweigh the rights of the victim. And today, the most productive in society are punished with overly burdensome taxation to reward the least productive. The time has come for great men of character to stand up against tyrannical government.
Our protected right to govern ourselves is rooted in the simple act of voting. If ever there was a time to exercise that right, it is now. Political parties aside, the incumbents in Congress MUST be removed. There is a reason why George Washington refused a third term as President. The advent of the career politician has ushered in a self-serving group of disconnected individuals that are more worried about their reelection than following the will of the people. It is time the Washington elite hear loud and clear the will of the people. There can be no room for doubt.
The TEA party is a beginning but by no means can it be the end. There MUST be fundamental change in the Congress or the "Change" President Obama promised will come to fruition and the United States as we know it, will cease to exist. The people are the only ones who can change our path and you are the people. Make your voice heard through the ballot box and through activism. There is no better way to foster in the next American Revolution.
